On 8 December, the Free Thought University hosted sculptor Robert Roesch and artist Suzanne Reese-Horvitz. They had an interesting conversation with the students about arts and democracy.
On 12 November, the Free Thought University hosted Rashad Shirin, one of the founders of AN youth network. As that way was also the Constitution Day in Azerbaijan, Rashad delivered a lecture to FTU students about constitution and democracy.
On 7 November, Democracy club hosted Rashad Shirin and the topic of discussions was American democracy. Being a frequent lecturer at FTU, Rashad has already talked about democracy to students and this time he returned to discuss local and regional characteristics of democracies.
On 24 October, members of the Democracy club at the Free Thought University gathered at their second meeting to discuss democratic governance. In their first meeting two weeks ago club members held discussions around the question of what is democracy.
On 10 October, Democracy Club of the FTUniversity held its first meeting. Seminar titled "What is Democracy" was conducted by Tabib Huseynov. Participants of the club held discussions around questions like "what is democracy" and "do we need it?"
What is the importance of democracy? Political analyst and former Azerbaijani ambassador to Russian Federation, Hikmat Hajizade attempted to help students to answer this question in his lecture at Free Thought University on 8 October.
